Vintage Christmas Boots Free Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs The First time I saw The Christmas Granny Square Boots was in the Early 1970’s when My Friend’s Mom was making them. She put crumpled news paper in the toe of the boot. I think she used big pickle or mayonnaise jars to hold cookies she had made. A few years later I was given one from my Sunday School Teacher. She put tissue paper in the toe of the boot, and a big paper cup in the leg of the boot. She filled it with candy. The old Fashioned hard kind that tasted like cloves and cinnamon. I pulled out that boot the other day, and decided to share it with you, with a modern twist. I used Sparkle yarn From Hobby Lobby / I Love This Yarn Metallic and I Found these jars at my Local Grocery Store, And they are Perfect. This pretty crochet Christmas Tree is quite easy to make, you do not need too much time or material. The pattern is for the tree only, which is a crochet work made from wool. Our tree is about 10,5 x 12 cm. The stand was hand made too. All you need is a smaller block of wood and a stick. Glue it together and that is all :-). We hope you will enjoy making it and would be happy to see your own tree made by our pattern. *Note: you can find an easy-to-follow pattern for a star decoration in our Ravelry store too.* See more See less
